The Threaded Needle
A cluttered outfitter’s shop squeezed between two larger buildings in Spindle Square, its doorway hung with so many bundled goods it looks like the entrance to a packrat’s den. The sign shows a needle trailing a golden thread through a knapsack.
Location
Spindle Square, on the corner where Hawker’s Circle meets Sample Row. Look for the shop with rope coils stacked outside and a perpetually crooked “OPEN” sign. The doorbell is a small brass bobbin that chimes when struck.
Proprietor
- Mira Thistlewick — A wiry halfling woman with ink-stained fingers and an encyclopedic memory for inventory. She can find anything in her chaotic shop within thirty seconds, a feat that borders on the supernatural. Former expedition supplier for weave-wave merchants; retired after “one trip too many into strange waters.”
Atmosphere
The shop operates on a logic known only to Mira. Barrels of rope sit next to hanging lanterns; rations share shelf space with climbing pitons. The ceiling is invisible beneath hanging nets, coils, and mysterious bundles. Regulars know to duck. A fat orange cat named Spool sleeps on the counter and judges all purchases silently.
