The dwarven receptionist at the Fringe Guard’s Edgerunner barracks in the Dry Docks. Warm, efficient, and apparently beautiful by dwarven standards. Nah Mean’s long-running romantic interest — and the memory he lost to the holy lake.

Background

Carla has worked the reception desk at the Fringe Guard’s Edgerunner barracks for some time. She’s known to regulars like Watcher Orim “Quickrope”, who was so taken with her that he gave away her gift (an apple) to a group of adventurers rather than admit he’d been given it.

In the Sessions

  • Session 02 (cf. Session 02): Issued rations and an oil lamp to the party before their tunnel descent. Mentioned the vampire rumors. Lost an oil lamp in the tunnels that the party promised to return. Nah Mean developed an immediate and intense crush — which was subsequently erased by Selane’s memory tax. Nah Mean continued shouting “FOR CARLA!” in battle for some time before forgetting why.
  • Session 04 (cf. Session 04): Received a thick flirtation and the returned lantern from Nah Mean. Wrote a note to Mira at the Slackline requesting a birthday cake.
  • Session 06 (cf. Session 06): Present at the barracks during the post-ambush interrogation. Nah Mean opened the session with extended flirtation in broken French. Carla agreed to physically restrain anyone who tried to leave the interrogation room mid-session. Confirmed Juno’s alibi by sending for her husband. Accepted a brunch booking: croissants, café au lait, and pressed-flower books, scheduled for the following morning.
